LEXINGTON ONE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Do volunteers have to submit an application for each school at which they want to volunteer?
A: No. The volunteer can include more than one school on their application. If after approval they wish to add another school to their profile, the Volunteer Coordinator should contact Shannon Williamson and their school can be added to the volunteer’s profile.
Q: How often do we run background checks on Volunteers?
A: Volunteers are processed once per year. We go by the District’s calendar year (July 1 – June 30th). If the volunteer was approved in the spring, he/she would need to reapply after July 1st of the same year.
Q: What is a tag-along?
A: A tag-along is someone who meets the school at the field study destination.
Rules for Tag-Alongs:
