As you drive in the left lane in front of our school and pass cars that are by the curb, please drive slowly and carefully. We have young children at our school, and we need to be looking out for them at all times.
We would appreciate your refraining from using your cell phone while driving in our driveway. Again the focus is on keeping an eye out for the children.
PHES SIC and school administrators met with Chris Ellisor, Director of Security and Emergency Services, and John Stehmeyer, Director of Building Maintenance and Facilities, at a recent meeting to discuss the added fencing behind our school to enclose the portables. This fencing has been approved and will be added soon—perhaps during our Spring Break.
PHES SIC also discussed events for the end of the 2016-17 school year and suggested that class parties be held on Friday, May 26 this year since high school graduations are on May 30 and 31.

PHES is proud to host a Career Day on Wednesday, March 1. We would like to invite our parents to share with the students and staff at PHES all about their career. This is an opportunity to teach our students about the variety of jobs available in our community and how each day at school prepares them for their career. Our three PHES school counselors will work with all grade levels during the month of February on career awareness skills.
If you have questions, please contact school counselor Mrs. M-C at (803) 821-2800. She can provide you with all the information and any tips that might be helpful when speaking to the students. If you would like to be a part of our Career Day, please let Mrs. M-C know by Tuesday, February 14.
