2018 Summer Food Service Program

This summer, Lexington County School District One again participates in the Summer Food Service Program, a free program for children 18 years old and younger. The program runs Monday through Thursday beginning June 10, with the exception of Gilbert Primary, which runs only during June.

The following locations will serve as meal sites this summer:

Children must eat their meals on site. Sites offer meals on a first-come, first served basis. The WKES site will operate July 1–3, but not July 4; all other sites close the week of July 4. The FPES site will offer breakfast from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. and lunch from 12:15 to 1 p.m. until August 2.

At Rosenwald and WKES, breakfast begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 8:30 a.m., with lunch offered from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Rosenwald site closes July 26, while the WKES site goes until August. 2.

At GPS, breakfast will run from 7:45 to 8:15, with lunch offered from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. until June 27. RBHS will serve breakfast from 9 to 9:30 a.m. followed by lunch from 10:30 a.m. to noon through July 19.

The program, federally funded by the United States Department of Agriculture and administered through S.C. Department of Education and Lexington County School District One, provides and serves meals to children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

All meals meet federal nutrition standards.
