News from the Nurse

If your child unfortunately does get sick, please follow the illness policy. A sick child does not perform well in class and may expose his/her classmates to childhood diseases.

If your child has a temperature over 100º F, they must stay home, even if they are on antibiotics or antiviral medicine in the past 24 hours. Your child may return to school when their temperature has been less than 100º for a full 24 hours without the use of a fever-reducing medicine (ex. Motrin, Tylenol).

If your child has a communicable disease diagnosis (ex. Influenza (Flu) or Strep throat).
If your child has vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours. Please keep your student at home until they are symptom-free for a full 24 hours.
